I had a brilliant idea that I would post, “What About the Dress?” and show all sorts of photos with couples in the waves with no worries on the gorgeous wedding gown. Then I would speculate and think it was hilarious. Â
Little did I know, there is a name for it already: “Trash the Dress”. Where has this hobby-time wedding blogger been hiding? Under a rock?  How long has this been a thing?
I think there should be another, more meaningful title.
Hmm….“Bless the Dress”. Spiritual, emotional, and inspirational.
Also, an unoriginal thought discovered after googling it. There is a wedding planning business in Florida called “Bless the Dress“. Click to see their FaceBook Page.
Anytime I have seen photos like this, I’ve thought to myself:
What were the brides planning on doing with the dress after? Tossing it? Getting it dry-cleaned? Running it through the wash hoping for the best?Donating it? Was this dress just for that purpose?
Now that I’ve had this personal epiphany, I will think to myself from now on:
How soon can I lose weight to fit into my wedding dress so I can do this?
Ultimately, it’s not the dress that matters. It’s the marriage.Â
Notice, all of these are at the ocean which is my haven.
