Wouldn’t it be nice to start a new chapter in life keeping things more simple? Less stress, more calmness. Less frills, more basics. Less distractions, more focus. I could keep going with this…
The Minimalist Trend got re-ignited with John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette’s 1996 Wedding; her elegant dress, the tiny candlelit chapel on a desolate island off the coast of Georgia. Fast-forward 22 years to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 Wedding where the simplistic dress trend continues.
I wish this idea was even thought of when I got married. However, could I have done less? At the time, I don’t think so. Could I now? Yep, I sure could. Over the last few years working on my blog, I have come to the realization that all the extra “stuff” isn’t necessary at all. The wedding colors, beautiful centerpieces, chair covers, tiered wedding cake, and all that goes along with it has absolutely nothing to do with the marriage vows. However, it’s not an “all or nothing” approach. Plan What is Important to You, but keep focus on The Big Picture.
For those that want to simplify in some areas, I hope this post provides some inspiration.
