Trying to cut the budget for wedding expenses? Skip the cute basket full of flip-flops. Guests do not need a pair to dance more or feel comfy. I see these baskets at the end of the night pretty much full. I may be apt to grab a pair for the future, but not likely to take my shoes off that are either comfy or complete my outfit (or both if lucky).
Not buying into this trend cuts anywhere from $100-$200 depending upon the number of pairs and if you can find the flip-flops on sale. This money can be spent elsewhere, like extra candles for the tables, etc. The $100 (approx.) could also go towards many things like tips for vendors, an upgrade for appetizers, extra cup-cakes, veil/tiara, an extra hour for photographer, etc. I think you get my drift.

$10 – Sign/Frame
$100 – 20 pairs of flip-flops for $5.00 each
$130 – Total
I see over and over again these baskets full of flip-flops listed on Facebook Marketplace. These flip-flops sold in bulk are NOT used. Below was a search I did in one sitting.
If you MUST get these, PLEASE buy them on the marketplace and not at full retail.
Side Note: not everyone likes the inexpensive plastic flip-flops. If there were orthopedic ones in the basket, I’d be all over those.
